My friend just moved into the Ava apartments across the street so we popped in her to get our grub on after unpacking.
Fortunately we got in during a lull. Had we waited another 15 minutes we would of been the people standing outside in the heat waiting for tables.
You order at the counter and they bring your food to youyour table. I opted for the lunch special. Bento box with meatballs, California& avocado rolls, teriyaki chicken, salad and pickled veggies.
The lady brought mine out first, without the rolls and apologized they were coming up. My friends ordered a rainbow roll and udon soup. My rolls came next, then the rainbow rolls. Lastly came the soup. I mean, I'm happy to get my food when it is fresh and got, but it is a little peeve when everyone is served at different times. I felt weird eating while they were waiting, but I like my food hot.
The food was delicious! I would never generally order meatballs at a sushi place, but these were exceptional!
The place was clean. The staff was nice. There's a large parking, although it can be difficult at times to find a spot simply because there are a lot of good businesses here.
We will definitely be back! -

Looking for a good Japanese place for lunch or dinner and affordable. I highly recommend stopping by Emon. It's a family own and run restaurant which I would gladly support.
FOOD
#4 Shrimp Tempura Bento: Fantastic. The tempura batter was light and was done perfectly. Wasn't oily at all. Huge portions here.
#10 Emon Combination Bento: This came with beef and chicken teriyaki and two shrimp tempura. Excellent.
SUSHI:
Not the best quality of fish but good enough for a quick fix.
SERVICE and ORDER:
Service was good and friendly. Ordering is simple. Order at the counter and they'll bring it out to your table.
Until next time. -

This place is a hidden gem. I found out about this place 6 months after I started working in Burbank. It definitely gets packed on weekdays during lunch hour.
Their prices are a bit on the higher side but they definitely do have great lunch specials!
I've only tried their Shrimp Tempura Udon and Spicy Tuna Rice bowl. The udon was a bit pricey but the spicy tuna bowl was a good deal. The portion size was huge - I couldn't finish it. -

I've been a regular at Emon for over a decade and am thankful I have a go to place when I'm craving Japanese for lunch. This place is walking distance from my office but when I choose to drive, there's a parking lot available in the complex. Keep your eyes peeled though, it's a hole in the wall so you might miss it.
I love their daily lunch specials, usually a combo bento of some sort. Their curry rice and tofu salad are also yummy! You pay at the counter and find a seat. They will come and bring it to your table. Assorted bottled drinks are available in the refrigerator.
Friendy family establishment. Come on and get your Emon on!!!! -
